In the medieval times Kyoto was called Heiankyo or Miyako. Kabuki, No, and Kyogen are forms of drama that come from Kyoto.This place has very high edu standers and has 36 colleges.
The Golden Pavilion Temple was built in 1397 and it is in Kyoto, Japan. It was supposed to be a retirement place for Shogun Ashikaga. Later on his son turned it into a Zen temple. The temple is surrounded by a very pretty garden and has the classic Japanese style. it also has three floors.
Tokugawa built the Nijo castle in 1601. It is located in Kyoto. Tokugawa made this place for himself so he could live in it. Later on in 1623 his grandson added a little bit to the building. The building was completed in 1627.
The Nanzenji Temple is a zen buddhist temple and has 7 gardens. A priest named Fumon used this place to meditate while an emperor used the top part.
