Prince Shotoku was born on February 7 572 and died April 8 622. He became the ruler of Japan in 593, because his aunt, Empress Suiko gave him the after she died. His aunt was also the firs female ruler of Japan. Prince Shotoku built two very important temples that became the first buddhism temples in Japan. The prince alsp created the 12 offcial ranks of court. Shotoku created the 7Article Constitution . This powerful prince died at the age of 50.
Tokugawa Ieyasu
Tokugawa Ieyasu (January 1, 1543 - June 1, 1616) had 11 half brothers as his parents were divorced. Tokugawa's father used him as a hostage when he was a little kid old in exchange for help in a war. His father died when Tokugawa was 7 years old. He was careful and bold when the time was right. As an adult he had 9 wives, 11 sons, and 3 daughters. Tokugawa ended up executing a wife and his oldest son. He is known for establishing the new capitol in Edo (Tokyo). Tokugawa is the founder of Tokugawa Shogunate. He died when he was 63.
